Farmacy HK is a proud recipient of the ICT Startup Grand Award and ICT Startup Gold Award (Social Impact) at this years Hong Kong ICT Awards. As the 1st indoors urban-farming technology company in Asia, it’s unique Smart Mobile Farms with remote control capabilities stood out among 100 startup candidates. Farmacy HK was also the first winner from the Social Impact stream to receive the final Startup Grand Award. This serves as a recognition of the company’s impact-driven business model, and solidifies its positioning as a sustainable alternative to traditional agriculture.
The Hong Kong ICT awards are organised by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO). The purpose of the awards is to highlight outstanding enterprises and talents across 8 different sub-categories in Hong Kong’s Information and Technology field.
Farmacy HK is committed to continue creating positive social impact through green technology in a local and regional scale through their smart indoor farm technology. It’s benefits extend across different sectors including supermarket and retail, restaurants, hospitality, land development (malls, offices, residential clubhouses etc.), education, and NGOs. Farmacy HK also puts a lot of focus on driving the behavioural change of the public for them to be more open to adapting newer, more sustainable agricultural technology. It successfully accomplishes that by creating farming projects, engaging workshops, and farm site tours.
